Something that cracked me up!

I don’t know why this made me laugh so much. It’s may not sound very funny to many of you but to me it just cracked me up.

What happened was that during our busyness hour at our workplace, one of my colleague suddenly picked up the phone, after she managed to dial the number, she said “Hi there, could I please order 9 chickens and could you please cut it in pieces for me?”.

She spoke so loud and it just made me and everyone laugh to the ground! It just very funny the way it happened          HAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Leadership: Have I got what It takes?

“Joshua had a good heart towards God, but he also had what it takes to get the task done!”

I believe I got a good heart towards God. But is having a good heart toward God is enough in leadership? It is my opinion that as long as my heart and intention is right, God will add on the leadership skills that I needed. Now, If I am to ask myself, Do I have what it takes in order to become a leader – the answer is NO. I am not putting myself down here but I know well that I am not born to lead. Without God in a picture, leadership is a scary word to me. Without God, if I am in a workplace, I am content with being a sub-ordinate employee, having just enough salary, don’t have to worry about leading people. Without church, without life group, I would not have a desire to be a leader at all. I don’t have what it takes to be a leader!

BUT!

I believe in the leadership calling from God upon my life that He has called me since the beginning of my Chrisitian walk!  I am not ashamed to say that I am confident in God’s calling upon my life as a pastoral leader!  This is what God has called me to be.

So do I have what it takes to lead … No! But Who is the one that called me to lead? Answer God. And who is God? Answer He is Jehovah Jireh – A God of provision. His name is A God of provision! And If I ask Him for give me that leadership skill, will He give it to me? Answer “yes”!

I don’t know how but If God call me to lead, I will lead. I will do it. I Will Lead for the King!!

I must get a gold medal!

Brother Torchie is so gifted in teaching and impartation. It seems that God uses Him to speak to me every single time he teaches or imparts. During corporate prayer, Torch shared about How to run and WIN the race. Here are the points:

1. Run with ” Attitude“: We must run to win

No matter what is going on in my life, I need to put on an attitude of a winner! I must win this race!! I don’t know how and when but I know that I’m gonna win! Bring it on world!

2. Run with “Alertness“: Be careful not to get off the track

Along the race, there will be things that will distract me away from the tract. They may seem attractive and “nice” to me. They would invite me and say “Jimmie, get off from the track for a while, you seem tired, come and rest for a while and you can get back and run again” May I have a courage to say NO to all distractions along my race. Be alerted!!

3. Run “All for the future” : Don’t look back

I am a memory person. I tend to embrace all good and bad memories in my life. Especially bad memories, at times, it playback in my mind and it discourages me and it stops me from running! But don’t look back. Runner don’t look back, if they look back, they will not win. May I fix my eyes yo the goal. I’m nearly there! I’m gonna win! I’m gonna get a gold medal.

I must win this race!

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me [Acts 20:24]

Scripture/Quote of The Day

... If any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple (Luke 14:33)
