Hello from Thailand 6

Just came back from Bangkok for my third ielts test. I got a chance to visit Hope Bangkok. I was planning to visit Hope Place (Klong Toei service) because i got some friends there but it’ll take me hours to travel from my district - Pangkapi to Klong Toei district due to traffic jams.

My friend told me there Hope Bangkok also has a service in my district in Bangkok too and amazingly there is one! It’s a Pangkapi service and it is just 15 mins walk from my house in Bangkok!! There are more than 1,000 members attended the service on that day yet the lady told me that there are not quite many people today!

I’m so proud of our movement that we have church around the world and even every district, town and suburb. Especeially in Thailand – Hope church is everywhere! I really do miss Hope Brisbane so much and can’t wait to go back to continue my journey there. After I finished ielts test, i went to MBK for shopping because it is near by the place where i had the test. MBK reminded me of the good old times of Thailand Mission Trip when we and the Daniels were shopping there like crazy.

MBK Shopping Mall – can you see yellow, green and pink taxis on the street? cute right?

Switching to something more holy; recently, I got to listen to Joyce Meyer ’s preaching from TV. She said one thing that captured my heart and I had to quickly write it down on the piece of paper. Joyce was talking about a real Christian. She said:

“A Real Christian helps other people”

I believe we all want to be real Christians. There were times when I wonder what should we do to be called a true Christian. Apostle Paul told us many times that being a Christian is not about keeping the law but simply having a relationship with God through faith! Real Christianity is about relationship. Apart from having a strong relationship with God - relationship with others is also essential. And by having a relationship with others, we must get into their shoes see what their needs are and HELP them!

Wasn’t that what Jesus did for the test of his life? Helping people. Helping them to know the Father. And isn’t relevant to his Great Commandment when He urged us to “love neighbour as yourself”?

After Joyce’s preaching, the saying “A Real Christian Helps Other People” from her keep playing in my mind. I begun to think how much do I help my brothers and sisters in Christ; how much time do I spend on praying for people? Not just our people but to help an old lady crossing the road is also count in God’s eyes! Today, i learn to pray for more to other people before praying for myself. I believe the most effective way in helping people is to pray for them. I’m praying for you Daniels! I’m praying for you CCM!

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world
[James 1:27]
